Michael Raia, liturgical designer and educator, holds an undergraduate degree in
Architectural Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in
Liturgy with a concentration in Sacred Architecture and Art from the University of Saint
Mary of the Lake. He is currently a doctoral candidate in liturgical studies at the
University of Vienna. As a sacred design practitioner and founder of Studio io Liturgical
Design and Consulting, he has served over 150 Catholic clients across the US and has
presented, taught, and written on topics related to liturgical design, sacramental
aesthetics, and evangelization. His doctoral research focuses on Beauty and the National
Eucharistic Revival in the US.
