The app launched just over five years ago, but has grown rapidly and just crossed one billion minutes prayed, 20 million downloads across 150 different countries, 600 million prayers prayed, 250,000 five-star reviews, and is the #1 prayer app in the world. It is the only faith- based, religious, meditation, wellness, fitness, or reference app in the history of the app store to ever crack the top 10 rankings – this past Lent rising to the #1 spot ahead of TikTok, YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Instagram and the rest of the world’s largest apps.

Alex was raised Catholic but fell away from his faith at a young age. He became fascinated with secular meditation but kept feeling like he was being pulled towards something spiritual. He began asking around and discovered the deeply contemplative and meditative tradition within the Church. Through it, God changed his life, brought him back to the faith, and inspired the idea behind Hallow.
