This course explores designing AI systems and data science applications with a focus on human-centered design, considering human capabilities and limitations. Students will learn techniques such as immersive discovery, interviewing, empathy maps, persona development, use case analysis, ideation, prototyping, agile methods, feedback methods. Business analysis topics like value proposition, stakeholder analysis, and data monetization are also covered. The course examines how AI can augment human work when designed with wisdom, emphasizing systems that improve decision-making, human growth, and a service mindset. A capstone project or case studies provide hands-on experience integrating ethical principles into AI development. Pre-requisites: Standard admission requirements.
