Program overview
The Bachelor of Arts in the Liberal Arts provides an opportunity for students to develop their knowledge of several integrated disciplines in the light of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, while also focusing on a concentration or minor in a particular area of interest. The curriculum ensures that students maximize their potential for personal and professional growth by developing a love for learning and the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. This formation will prepare students for a wide range of graduate programs or professional endeavors.
Program Goals
The BA in Liberal Arts program seeks to:
- Educate students in the distinctly Catholic liberal arts tradition that understands the human person as made in the image and likeness of God, made for relationship with God and others, and made for freedom.
- Develop in students an integrated vision of reality through the study of the true, good and beautiful through the arts and sciences, particularly their content and methods, founded on the unity of truth and the unity of knowledge.
- Propose a fruitful relationship and dialogue between faith and reason through the study of theology and philosophy alongside arts and sciences.
- Awaken students to pursue wisdom and virtue through the study of Scripture, Tradition, and Church teaching.
- Inspire students to greatness of thought and action anchored in the study of the sources of the Catholic intellectual tradition and Catholic social teaching.

Students may fulfill the remaining 21 credits through adopting a history, theology, philosophy, or “Faith, Reason, and Culture” concentration or minor, enroll in a 4+1 program in Education or Business when admitted to our graduate courses in Education or Administration and Management, or electives that meet their interests.
