Sign-In Instructions

to Access Canvas

All faculty and students will log into the campus by clicking the above login button.
Be sure to bookmark this address for direct access.

Students and Faculty

Populi and Canvas (the Learning Management system where you will be taking your courses) are separate systems but integrated.
Your username in Canvas is the same as for Populi.

New Student Instructions to Access Canvas

If you are a new student, your account on Canvas is created within 24 hours after you register for your first course. Point your browser to https://catholiciu.instructure.com and click on the Forgot Password link. You will be presented with a modal window where you can enter your Username. Click the Request Password button. It may take up to 30 minutes to send password recovery instructions to your Catholic International student email and you may need to check your spam folder to locate the email.

Sign in to your Catholic International student email account and open the Forgot Password email. If the email is not in your Inbox, check your Spam folder. Click the Click here to set a new password link in the email you received from Canvas. Note that password reset emails expire after two hours. Type in a new password and then confirm that password by typing it again. Click the Update Password button.

With your login credential (Username) and new password, log in to Canvas.

Help While Learning: If you need help while on the Catholic International Campus or in a Catholic International course, click the “Help” link at the upper, right-hand corner of your screen. You will even be able to have an online chat about your problem there.

Get the Mobile App: The Canvas guide for your phone is available here. Once you’ve downloaded the mobile app from your store (no credit card information is needed – skip that screen if requested), select Catholic Distance University.
