About Rev. Joseph Mary Rogers, STL

Fr. Joseph Mary Rogers is a professed religious priest of the Servants of the Pierced
Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Religious Brothers and Priests, founded by Mother Adela
Galindo, SCTJM, in the Archdiocese of Miami. He holds an STL in Biblical Theology
from the Pontifical Gregorian University, an MTS from the Pontifical John Paul II
Institute at the Catholic University of America, and a BA in Economics from the
University of Notre Dame. He currently serves as Superior and Formator for the male branch of the Servants of the Pierced Hearts in Miami, FL, where he oversees Sacred Heart House of Formation for postulants, novices, and professed members of the community, while serving as lecturer in Sacred Scripture and Moral Theology at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Bonton Beach, FL, St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami, FL, and the Veritatis Splendor Institute in Miami, FL.
Fr. Joseph Mary regularly assists with parish missions, youth and young adult ministry, and pilgrimages, and lives out an active sacramental ministry integral to his identity and mission as a Servant, especially to the infirm and those in need of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. He is currently working on a doctorate in Biblical Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome and is conversant in Spanish and Italian, with a working knowledge of Biblical Hebrew and Greek. He is a member of the Catholic Biblical Association of America. Prior to entering religious life, Fr. Joseph Mary was a priest of the Archdiocese of Washington (DC) where he served for over fourteen years in parish and multicultural ministry, including three years as a hospital chaplain and five years as Pastor of St. John Neumann Parish in Gaithersburg, MD.

Fr. Joseph Mary professed religious vows on June 29, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Doral, FL, and was ordained a Priest of Jesus Christ on May 26, 2007, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
