About Msgr. Robert W. Oliver, STD, JCD

Msgr. Oliver is an educator, canon lawyer, and author, holding doctoral degrees in theology from Pontifical Gregorian University and canon law from The Catholic University of America, and an MBA from Northeastern University. An educator for 40 years, Msgr. Oliver has served at high school, undergraduate and graduate levels, including two seminaries and The Catholic University of America. Currently he is the Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocese of Boston.

Msgr. Oliver is the author of two books and numerous articles on theological and canonical topics in journals such as The Jurist and Monitor Ecclesiasticus.

Previously he served in the Holy See as Secretary of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors and as Promoter of Justice of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.
