Dr. Brian Engelland is an award-winning scholar, educator, management consultant, and product development executive. He holds a doctorate in business administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Dr. Engelland is the author of six books, 44 articles, and 46 research proceedings. He has served on editorial review boards for three journals and twice served as a guest editor for the Journal of Business Research. He is the winner of 25 teaching and research awards including the Lifetime Contributor to Marketing Award and the Great Teacher of Marketing award from the Society for Marketing Advances.
Dr. Engelland consults with pastors on the conduct of parish activities and the evaluation of parish staff. His product development consulting led to the creation of over 300 new products, several of which have been displayed at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Engelland is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, and a Knight Grand Cross in the Equestrian Order of The Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He is also a frequent presenter on Catholic television and radio discussing Catholic Social Teaching and how it informs good business practice.
