The Department of Business and Ecclesial Management is founded on a dual conviction: that the Church can benefit from the best managerial theories and practices developed in the business world, and that—at the same time—businesses and nonprofit organizations can draw profound insight from the Church’s tradition, especially from the Catholic Social Teachings.
The Department’s mission is twofold:
To support the Church in fulfilling Her spiritual mission by promoting transparent, effective, and efficient stewardship of resources, strengthening organizational structures, and enhancing administrative capability in service of evangelization and pastoral life.
To inspire businesses and nonprofit institutions to integrate the principles of Catholic Social Teaching—human dignity, solidarity, subsidiarity, the common good—into their organizational culture, leadership models, and strategic decision-making.

Dr. Roberto Dandi holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior from Università degli Studi del Molise (Italy) and a Master of Science in Business Administration from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. He currently coordinates Church Management initiatives at the Markets, Culture & Ethics Research Center at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. His academic career includes roles as Assistant Professor and Lecturer at LUISS Guido Carli University’s Department of Business and Management, Scientific Coordinator of educational programs at LUISS Business School, and Post-doctoral Research Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As Assurance of Learning Coordinator, he contributed to LUISS Business School’s successful AACSB accreditation by designing and implementing a comprehensive assessment system. Dr. Dandi’s research spans Church Management, Organizational Behavior, and Health Care Management.
