For many of our graduates, this day represented years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice. Students completed their degrees while serving in ministry, raising families, working full-time careers, and answering God’s call in the midst of busy lives. Seeing everyone together in one place made the occasion especially meaningful.
The day began with the celebration of Mass, reminding us that education at Catholic International University is ultimately ordered toward knowing, loving, and serving God. Surrounded by family and friends, graduates had the opportunity to give thanks for the many graces that brought them to this moment.
Following Mass, members of the Class of 2026 were formally recognized for their academic achievements. Each graduate’s journey was different, but all shared a commitment to pursuing truth and using their gifts in service to the Church and the world.
One of the greatest joys of the day was watching students, faculty, and staff who had known one another for years online finally meet in person. Conversations that had begun in virtual classrooms continued face-to-face, and friendships formed across states and even countries were celebrated together.
Graduates and their families gathered afterward for a reception in Burke Hall, where there was plenty of time for photos, reunions, and celebration. It was a joyful reminder that no one reaches graduation alone. Behind every diploma are family members, professors, mentors, and friends who have offered encouragement along the way.
As we celebrate the Class of 2026, we are grateful for the witness they have given to perseverance, faith, and the love of learning. We look forward to seeing how God will continue to work through them in their families, parishes, professions, and communities.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud to call you alumni of Catholic International University.
