Holly Salls, educator and author, holds an M.A. in Philosophy of Education from the University of Navarra. An educator for over four decades, she serves at the high school level and currently teaches at Oakcrest School, an independent girls’ school in the diocese of Arlington, VA.
Holly is the author of Character Education: Transforming Values into Virtue and a high school curriculum on the feminine genius, God’s Genius: The Feminine Genius, The Freedom to Be Me!. She also served as editor of Tidbits for Parents, a newsletter focused on cultivating a culture of virtue in the home. She is currently completing Education and Human Flourishing (work in progress), dedicated to bringing the human person and Christian anthropology into the theory and practice of education. Her work centers on philosophical anthropology and virtue ethics in education, with particular emphasis on moral formation and human flourishing.
She has extensive speaking experience, delivering numerous presentations for teachers, parents, and youth leaders on the cultivation of virtue in children and adolescents. She has collaborated with summer programs serving students in under-resourced schools, helping educators establish environments that foster responsibility and moral growth. She has also presented widely to parents on the moral development of teenage girls, offering guidance grounded in a classical understanding of human flourishing and the formation of conscience.
