This course is an introduction to the study of macroeconomic principles. It is concerned with the behavior of the economy as a whole and the policies that governments use to try to improve that performance. This course will provide an introduction to macroeconomic issues: national output, economic growth, unemployment, wages, inflation, interest rates, fiscal policy, and monetary policy.
