Luanne D. Zurlo is retired from a career spanning finance, executive leadership and academic teaching. Prior to retiring, Luanne was the Executive Director of Seton Education Partners, overseeing the Brilla Charter School network and El Camino, its partner after-school Catholic faith formation program, in the South Bronx. Prior to Seton, Luanne taught finance and economic development at The Catholic University of America at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2002, Luanne founded World Education & Development Fund (Educando), a non-profit operating in Brazil and Mexico, dedicated to improving education quality in pubic and Catholic schools. Luanne started her career on Wall Street, where she spent nearly a decade as an equity analyst with Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs specialized in Latin American and U.S. telecommunications. Luanne has an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from Columbia Business School, an M.A. in international affairs from Johns Hopkins University SAIS and a B.A. in history from Dartmouth College. She spent a sabbatical studying theology at the Angelicum in Rome, Italy. Luanne is a published author with Marian Press and Sophia Press. She wrote Piazzas, Popes and Pasta about her experience in Rome and Single for a Greater Purpose: A Hidden Joy in the Catholic Church, about the dedicated single vocation. She has lived, traveled and worked extensively in Latin America and Europe. Luanne has served on a number of non-profit boards, including Educando, the GIVEN Institute, Christendom College, Institute of World Politics, and Dartmouth College’s Wheelock House.
